DJO day 2 - what happened in the first matches?

After some upsets on day 1 the play continues to excite on day 2 of the Dutch Junior Open 2017

The second day started of with some tight matches. Two French girls in the U13 category battle until 12-10 in the fifth, with eventually Lilou Brevard as the winner. And that was only one of the matches at 10h. 

Also at 10h the first Dutch players were at the courts. Tournament volunteer and player Lars van Dongen managed to win his match against Andrii Chebanov 3-0. The other young volunteer Lex Oreel [33/55] lost in three great games to Jonathan Edwarsson [25/32]. 

In the Boys U13 draw most favorites progressed to the quater finals, including our Dutch hopes Rowan Dammin [1] en Samuel Gerrits [5/8] who won their matches 3-1 (Rowan) and 3-0 (Samuel). Earlier on day 1 number 2 seed Philip Georgiev lost to Mason Menin, who today lost to Omar Azzam [13/16].

In the Girls U15 draw Dutch player Feline Posdijk [17/24] lost to Asia Harris [25/29] from England. Knut Hogervorst [13/16] played the number [3/4] (Luis Grübel) from the Boys U15 draw and lost 11-5 11-6 11-7. 

Unfortunately not so much luck for the Dutch players this morning. In Boys U17 Beau Jourdin [33/64] played Nicolas Santander [33/64] and lost 7-11 5-11 9-11. On of the other players in the U17 draw, Tjeu Dubbeldam, unfortunately lost his thight match against Karim Samir 8-11 8-11 11-9 10-12. Pieter de Looos did win his match against Imen Tack with 3 to 1. The Belgian clash between Lacante and Verschuuren ended up in a 3-1 win for Lacante.
